Weekly Review for 4/6/2015

Geoff Bysshe | April 6, 2015

Last week started with a strong Monday but that would be the high close for the week in that indexes. By the end of the week both the All Stars portfolio and the QQQ was down by less than half a percent which means our portfolio is still up over 3% for the year while the QQQ is up 1.8%.

We added two new stocks to our NASDAQ All Stars Wednesday which was down day in the market. For the most part our portfolio followed the markets up and down action for the week. However, the QQQ closed the week under the 50 DMA and all 5 of our positions remain well above their 50 DMA’s.

The market was closed on Friday when a very disappoint employment report was released. This will make Monday a very important day for setting up the upcoming week’s trend. Monday will likely see a gap and some volatility due to Friday’s employment report. It will be interesting to see which way our leaders break after Monday in the upcoming week.

Below you’ll find your summary of weekly and longer-term performance with news highlights and price action analysis for each of the positions.

You’ll notice we’ve added new information to the weekly data in the form of gauges. These gauges will give you a quick read on the strength of the stocks trend and how the trade is progressing. For more information on how to interpret and use these new gauges you can review two quick tutorials in the FAQ section of your member area here. You’ll also find the tutorials for the gauges in the “How to Use the Model” section of the member area.

The Current Condition of the Model

This week we added two new positions, DLTR and NXPI. The market weakness pulled both lower which has them both rated with a buy. Stocks below our entry price and still having a TSI ranking strong enough to avoid potentially being replaced will have buy ratings.

All of the positions appear to be maintaining their strong trends.

During this week’s live coaching we featured as one of our topics a discussion of how to get started trading the portfolio. If you haven’t gotten started yet, now may be a great time to review that live coaching video. The video is posted in the member’s section of our website.

For more information about the current and closed positions go to the Model Portfolio section of your NASDAQ 100 All Stars member area.

Best wishes for your trading,
